Bardon Aggregates, an Aggregate Industries Ltd business, has over 70 aggregate operations across the UK, comprising crushed rock, sand and gravel and secondary aggregate quarries. We are not limited to primary material sources but have a growing network of secondary and recycled aggregate depots.
Aggregates supplied include concrete aggregates, high PSV materials, rail ballast, drainage materials, sub bases, sea defence materials and surface dressing chippings.
Significant quantities of our aggregates are used in the production of asphalt. Our asphalt plants are well situated to supply the main areas of population.
Demand is also growing for specialist materials that are designed to meet performance requirements or for specific end uses such as sports surfaces, cold-mix materials, coloured asphalt and low-noise road surfaces.
In addition to utilising road transport, the business also has facilities to distribute materials by rail and sea.

Directions: Croft lies to the southwest of Leicester between the M69 and M1 motorways. It can be reached by leaving the M1 at junction 21 and following the A563 to the southern side of the town, almost immediately turning right onto the B4114. After just over 3 miles Croft will be signposted on the right.
High on the hill, overlooking Croft and the river bridge, The Heathcote Arms is a whitewashed building with an inner courtyard that doubles as a car park. Drivers are advised to keep a keen eye out for the turning though, as it is easily missed. The pub is situated overlooking a former quarry that now serves as a popular inland diving centre while the surrounding area also proves to be popular with ramblers and you will often find them taking a break for some refreshment at the pub.
Originally built as three cottages, the buildings were later used as a butchers and did not become a hostelry until the 17th century. The interior retains a traditional feel though, with beamed ceilings in the main bar at the front and cosy wooden furniture used throughout. The beers on offer are from the Everards range, usually three, plus guest ales from around the country. The locals and younger visitors often congregate in the games room in the evenings, where the spacious room incorporates a pool table, darts and TV. Food is served only at lunchtimes Monday to Friday and the menu includes mainly snacks with a small selection of popular hot dishes. In summer customers can enjoy the split-level beer garden which enjoys great views and there is also a long skittle alley. The place has been run by a mother and daughter team for over a year. Children are allowed in until 9pm.

Croft Car-Boot
Croft Carboot first opened its gates during the summer of 1994 within the grounds of Croft Lodge Farm.
It was very shortly after that point when the number of stalls started to increase to the unbelievable extent it has today. Now, we are proud to say that we are the biggest carboot in Leicestershire holding over 500 stalls per week, sometimes reaching an unbeatable 800 on occasions! It is amazing to see the large quantity of bargains here that we have to offer, so why not come and see for yourself why we are classed as being one of the friendliest, most highly valued carboot sales in the UK!
The times of the year for us to be open is normally March, running through till the end of October, but this tends to alter due to weather conditions etc.
